Morocco: Swiss wounded in Marrakech cafe bombing dies; toll hits 17

A 25-year-old Swiss woman has died from wounds suffered in last week's bombing of a Marrakech cafe, bringing the death toll to 17 people.
Zurich University Hospital confirmed the death Friday of Cristina Caccia, on the day a funeral was held for her boyfriend, Corrado Mondada, in the southern Swiss city of Bellinzona, Fox News reported.
A further 21 people were wounded in the Apr. 28 attack at the popular Argana cafe.
Earlier Friday, Tristan McConnell reported that three people, one of them linked to Al Qaeda, had been arrested in connection with the bombing.
The main suspect, "is linked to Al Qaeda and made the bomb," an unnamed interior ministry official told the AFP news agency, McConnell reported. All three suspects are Moroccan citizens.
The attack targeted the cafe on Djemma El-Fna Square in Marrakech, a popular destination for backpackers and vacationers. 15 of the dead were foreigners, eight of them French.
Morocco has been the target of terrorist attacks in the past. In 2003 suicide bombers killed more than 45 people when they blew themselves up in a cafe in Casablanca.
