RIO DE JANEIRO, Nov. 28 (Xinhua) -- Flamengo won their third Copa do Brasil title on Wednesday with a 3-1 aggregate victory over Atletico Paranaense.
The Rio de Janeiro giants scored twice in the last seven minutes to clinch the second leg of the final 2-0 after last week's 1-1 draw in Curitiba.
Elias broke the deadlock at the Maracana stadium when he tapped in Paulinho's cross before Hernane netted with a sublime 94th-minute bicycle kick "We have been criticized but we never gave up," a jubliant Flamengo coach Jayme de Almeida said after the match. "This is a humbling experience."
Flamengo previously won the Copa do Brasil in 1990 and 2006.
