BEIJING, Dec. 9 (Xinhua) -- China's Foreign Ministry on Monday said the country is willing to enhance cooperation with other countries in urbanization as A UN General Assembly committee designated October 31 as World Cities Day.
The UN General Assembly "decides to designate 31 October of every year, beginning in 2014, as World Cities Day," said a resolution adopted by the UNGA Economic and Financial Committee on Friday.

The World Cities Day originated in "Better City, Better Life," the theme of the World Expo 2010 in Shanghai.
