Argentine Falcioni appointed coach of Chile's Universidad Catolica

SANTIAGO, May 27 (Xinhua) -- Chile's club Universidad Catolica on Tuesday announced that Argentine Julio Cesar Falcioni is the new coach of the team for the next season.

In a statement, Universidad Catolica said that "we reached an agreement with Julio Cesar Falcioni so that he can led the professional team of Universidad Catolica during one year. He will be presented on Tuesday in San Carlos de Apoquindo Stadium ( Santiago)."

Falcioni, former coach of Argentina's Boca Juniors, has a great experience leading Argentine clubs such as Velez Sarsfield (1999- 2000), Olimpo (2002-2003), Banfield (2003-2005), Independiente ( 2005-2006), Colon (2006-2007), Gimnasia y Esgrima de la Plata ( 2007), Banfield (2009-2010), Boca Juniors (2011-2012) and All Boys (2013).

He has won three Argentine championships including Apertura 2009 with Banfield and Apertura 2011 and Copa Argentina 2012 with Boca Juniors.
