Two Tunisian soldiers killed in militant attack
TUNIS, July 26 (Xinhua) -- Two Tunisian soldiers were killed and four more injured when group of around 40 militants attacked their vehicles on Mountain Ouergha in Kef governorate, northwest of Tunisia, according to Tunisian Ministry of Defense.
The group of militants attacked two military vehicles of the Tunisian army which were transferring food to the soldiers on the mountain patrol.
Two of the injured soldiers are in a critical condition. And they were all immediately transferred to a regional hospital.
On July 16, 15 soldiers were killed and many more were injured in an armed attack by a group of gunmen in Kasserine, near the Algerian border, making it one of this country's deadliest attacks in recent years.
Tunisia's Prime Minister Mehdi Jomaa has launched a crackdown on networks recruiting people to fight jihad abroad and on imams who incite violence after the killing of 15 soldiers.
