Urgent: At least five killed in twin blasts in north Nigeria's Kano
ABUJA, July 27 (Xinhua) -- At least five people were killed in twin bomb blasts in north Nigeria's Kano on Sunday afternoon, police said.
The first bomb blasted under a bridge in the Sabon Gari district of Kano, but no casualties have been reported.
The second bomb hit the Saint Charles Catholic Church in the same area, killing at least five people and injured many others.
It is unclear if Boko Haram have carried out the attacks.
The group has been waging a violent insurgency in the country's north since 2009 and claimed responsibility for such attacks.
