RIO DE JANEIRO, Aug. 5 (Xinhua) -- Robinho is close to returning to his former club Santos on a year-long loan from AC Milan, according to local media reports.
The Brazilian outfit has reportedly offered the 30-year-old a monthly salary of 220,000 US dollars plus bonuses for marketing and image rights.
"There has been considerable progress in negotiations, now we just have to finalize details," the winger's lawyer Marisa Alija Ramos told Lancenet.
Robinho guided Santos to the 2002 Brazilian championship with a dazzling debut season as an 18-year-old.
He again played an important role in the club's 2004 league triumph before being sold to Spanish giants Real Madrid in 2005.
The former Brazil international returned on a six-month loan in 2010, guiding the club to the Copa do Brasil title.
