Beth Murphy is the founder of Boston-based Principle Pictures, a company dedicated to telling stories that excite curiosities and move consciences. Beth is director/producer for nearly 20 films, and has led production crews to all corners of the world, often in war-torn or developing countries in order to shed light on the people at the heart of pressing social, political and human rights issues. Her films have been broadcast globally on The Sundance Channel, The History Channel, Discovery International, Lifetime Television, Discovery Health, PBS, NHK, and numerous other international outlets. Beth is a blogger for Huffington Post and author of “Fighting For Our Future,” (McGraw Hill, 2003) a companion book to one of her films. She has taught courses on media ethics and international journalism at Suffolk University and American University Paris.
