Kevin Douglas Grant

Kevin Douglas Grant is the Deputy Editor of Special Reports at GlobalPost. A native of Chicago, he holds an M.A. in Online Journalism from the University of Southern California's Annenberg School, where he was a Dean's Scholar, and is the former Operations Director of Web news enricher Inform.com.

He was the founding Executive Editor of Annenberg's thriving 24/7 news site NeonTommy.com. Grant also holds a B.A. in International Studies from DePaul University and has been published by Salon.com, American Public Media, Religion News Service, Huffington Post, LA Daily News, Columbia Journalism Review and Truthdig.

At GlobalPost, Grant oversees foundation-supported reporting series from around the world.

He is the winner of a 2013 Society of American Business Editors and Writers Best in Business Award as well as a 2013 Knight Grant for Reporting on Religion and American Public Life to report on the role of religion in the immigration reform debate in the American Southwest.

Grant is also a founding member of The GroundTruth Project, a foundation-supported initiative dedicated to training the next generation of foreign correspondents in the digital age.
