Correspondents

Lizzy Tomei is GlobalPost's managing editor. Previously, she lived for two and half years in Cambodia, where she worked as a journalist and researcher. She also spent stints studying and working in South Africa and Guatemala.

Lizzy has reported for the San Francisco Public Press and freelanced for magazines and other outlets based in Southeast Asia, Guatemala and the United States. From 2009 to 2010, she was a member of the board and executive committee of the Society of Professional Journalists' Northern California chapter.

Lizzy has a master's degree in international affairs from Columbia University's School of International Affairs, where she specialized in security policy and served as a senior editor of the Journal of International Affairs from 2011 to 2012.
