Sure, YouTube is a big hit in India. But can the company make money there?

NEW DELHI — YouTube is making big inroads into India, one of the world's fastest-growing markets. After launching there eight months ago, the Google-owned company is already the sixth most-popular site in India.

But in this complex and dynamic market, attracting viewers isn't the same thing as making money.
