Tennis: Home win for Cilic in Zagreb Open

Top-seeded home favourite Marin Cilic won the Zagreb Open on Sunday as the Croatian powered past fourth-seeded Austrian Jurgen Melzer 6-3, 6-1 in just 67 minutes.

Cilic, ranked 12 in the world, landed his third title in his home capital after wins in 2009 and 2010 for his ninth career success overall to outgun a rival who has four titles to his name, including Memphis last year.

This was the Austrian's eighth final defeat.
