Alpine sking: Svindal uncertain for super-combined slalom

Norway's five-time world champion Aksel Lund Svindal is in doubt for the slalom section of the super-combined event here on Monday.

Defending champion Svindal, fresh from downhill gold and super-G bronze, was second in the downhill section and has been in scintillating form, but was later treated for pain in his groin, the Norwegian team said.

The 30-year-old, two-time overall World Cup champion will undergo further tests before deciding whether to race in the slalom leg which will take place on a flood-lit piste.
