Former Czechoslovakia star Zdenek Zikan, who memorably scored four goals at the 1958 World Cup, has died at the age of 75, the CTK news agency reported on Tuesday.
Zikan who only won four international caps for his country, scored five goals including four at the 1958 World Cup, two of which were during a 6-1 thrashing of Argentina.
Only Oldrich Mejedly who was top scorer at the 1934 World Cup with five goals and Tomas Skuhravy who also scored five goals at the 1990 tournament, have bettered Zikan's marks for their country at the global showpiece.
Despite his heroics, the then Czechoslovakia went out in the first round when Brazil went on to win the first of five World Cups.
