California police said Thursday they have arrested a man suspected in a shooting and multiple car crash that left three people dead on the famed Las Vegas Strip last week.
Ammar Harris, a self-described pimp, was arrested by Los Angeles police and federal agents in North Hollywood.
The 26-year-old convicted felon was due to be handed over to Las Vegas police to be tried in court.
Police say the incident began when Harris opened fire through the window of his Range Rover at rapper Kenny Clutch as he drove his Maserati past the neon-lit casinos and hotels in the early hours of February 21.
Clutch lost control of the vehicle and struck several cars, including a taxi that burst into flames. The rapper was killed, along with the taxi driver and his client.
At least five people were injured in the incident.
The shooting was the fifth on the Strip since 2012, though the sheriff was quick to insist that the area was safe.
About 40 million tourists visit Las Vegas each year.
