Amy Deem and Andrew Valmon, the US Olympic track and field coaches at last year's London Olympics, were named Sunday as relay coaches for the Americans at this year's World Championships.
Deem and Valmon guided the Americans to their best Olympic athletics showing in two decades at London with 23 medals, nine of them gold and 13 others silver. The Americans won both women's relay golds and two men's silvers.
"Coach Deem and coach Valmon showed great leadership in London and our results reflected that," said USA Track and Field sport performance chief Benita Fitzgerald Mosley.
"We are confident that Amy and Andrew will will continue and grow the success of the US relay teams."
The 14th IAAF world meet will be staged August 10-18 at Moscow.
