Iraq will face neighbours Syria in a friendly in Baghdad on Tuesday, just five days after FIFA lifted a ban on international matches in the Iraqi capital.
Initially, the match was scheduled to be played in Erbil, the capital of the autonomous region of Kurdistan.
However, the Iraq football federation, as well as Gael Mahe, a FIFA match agent, confirmed to AFP that the game would take place at Baghdad.
Iraq have been playing their competitive games in Qatar and the United Arab Emirates.
