Melbourne Victory will host Perth Glory and Adelaide United have home advantage against champions Brisbane Roar in the opening round of Australia's A-League playoffs next weekend.

Premier's Plate winners Western Sydney Wanderers and Central Coast Mariners, second after the regular season rounds, will have next weekend off in the top six playoffs.

The Wanderers finished three points clear of the Mariners at the top of the final standings in their debut A-League season following a 3-0 win over the Newcastle Jets this weekend.

Western Sydney won 11 of their last 12 games to secure the silverware, making them the first expansion club in Australian football history to win a trophy in their maiden season.

Now all they need to do is win two more games to be crowned overall A-League champions this season.

They will host the first semi-final at Parramatta Stadium on April 12, while the Mariners will be at home for the second semi-final.

The Mariners go into the finals on the back of a three-game winning run after beating a 10-man Melbourne Heart 2-1 at home on Saturday.

Veteran striker Daniel McBreen, who converted a first-half penalty, secured the golden boot award with his 17th goal of the season.

The Mariners will first have an AFC Champions League home game against Guizhou Renhe on April 3 before facing the Chinese club away on April 9 ahead of their home semi five days later.

Melbourne Victory finished third on the final standings after a 3-2 win over Wellington Phoenix in New Zealand on Sunday and will host Perth in an elimination playoff on Friday.

Adelaide will host fifth-placed Brisbane in their elimination final next Sunday with the Roar charging to a finals spot with a 3-1 win over Alessandro Del Piero's Sydney FC, who missed out on the playoffs.
