Football: Messi off at half-time with hamstring trouble

Barcelona's four-time world footballer of the year Lionel Messi failed to come out for the second-half of his side's Champions League quarter-final first leg clash with French outfit Paris Saint Germain on Tuesday.

The 25-year-old had already made his mark by scoring the only goal of the first-half - his eighth of the campaign and 57th this season in all competitions - but for the final five minutes before the break he stood idly by the touchline feeling his right hamstring.

He was replaced by Spanish World Cup and Euro winning forward Cesc Fabregas.
