Tokyo stocks up 2.01% by break


Tokyo stocks jumped 2.01 percent Monday morning as a further drop in the yen's value ignited buying of exporters' shares.

The Nikkei 225 index at the Tokyo Stock Exchange was up 258.31 points to 13,091.95 at the break, after rising more than three percent at one point. The Topix index of all first-section issues was up 1.85 percent, or 19.72 points, to 1,085.96.
