Two of Boston's beloved professional sports teams have postponed their Friday night games due to the ongoing manhunt for the prime suspect in the deadly Boston Marathon bombings.
The Red Sox were to open a three-game Major League Baseball series with the Kansas City Royals at Fenway Park, while the Boston Bruins had been scheduled to face the Pittsburgh Penguins in a National Hockey League contest at the Boston Garden arena.
The Bruins-Penguins matchup has been tentatively rescheduled for Saturday afternoon, but that was subject to change.
The Bruins announced that a final decision by the league would be made early Saturday.
