Athletics: Greek marathon remembers Boston victims

The eighth international Alexander the Great Marathon Sunday was dedicated to the victims of the Boston marathon.

More than 12,500 runners wore black arm bands and tags with the word "Why?" as the classic marathon run of 42.195km began in the northern town of Pellas and ended in Thessaloniki.

Winner of the race was 28-year-old Ethiopian Teklu Geto in 2 hours, 19.29 minutes while the first woman finisher was Magda Gazea of Greece, in 2 hours, 41.26 minutes.
