'Dozens' killed in Nigeria clashes: govt source

Clashes between Nigeria's military and suspected Islamists that broke out after troops raided an insurgent hideout have killed dozens of people, a government source told AFP on Monday.

The Friday violence in Baga, a fishing village on Lake Chad in the northeastern Borno state where Boko Haram Islamists are based, "killed dozens of people," said a state government official who refused to be named.
