Bangladesh building death toll crosses 900

The death toll from Bangladesh's worst industrial disaster exceeded 900 on Thursday as rescuers pulled out scores more bodies from the rubble of a nine-storey building that collapsed outside Dhaka last month.

"The death toll now stands at 912", Lieutenant Sadiq Walid, an official in the army control room set up to coordinate the disaster relief efforts, told AFP, adding more than 100 bodies were recovered overnight.
