Japanese pitcher Yu Darvish surrendered two home runs in six innings and took the loss as the Oakland A's defeated the Texas Rangers 6-2 in a Major League Baseball game on Tuesday.
Darvish struck out 10 Oakland batters but walked two and allowed five runs to the A's on six hits and two walks, falling to 7-3 on the season. The right-hander made 70 of his 106 pitches for strikes.
Oakland's Brandon Moss belted a solo homer in the second inning and John Jaso added another in the third inning for Oakland.
The Rangers fell to 39-32, three games behind the American League West division-leading A's.
