Who are the men handed the task of taking down Novak Djokovic, Andy Murray, Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal in the first round at Wimbledon which starts on Monday.
AFP Sports looks at the contenders:
Novak Djokovic (SRB x1) v Florian Mayer (GER)
- Mayer, 29, the world number 33, just missed out on being seeded at Wimbledon where he has thrived in the past, reaching the quarter-finals in 2012 where he lost to Djokovic in straight sets. Also made the last-eight on his debut in 2004. Has a 4-0 losing record against Djokovic and has never won a set off the Serb.
Benjamin Becker (GER) v Andy Murray (GBR x2)
- Becker, 95 in the world, lost to Murray in the quarter-finals at Queen's last week in their only career meeting. The 32-year-old German's claim to fame was ending Andre Agassi's career with a shock third round win at the 2006 US Open.
Victor Hanescu (ROM) v Roger Federer (SUI x3)
- Hanescu is the world number 47 and has played five times and lost all five against Federer, although it's been three years since the 31-year-old Romanian has come up against the Swiss. Two runs to the third round at Wimbledon remain Hanescu's best performances.
Rafael Nadal (ESP x5) v Steve Darcis (BEL)
- Darcis, the world number 113, was forced to retire from his only previous meeting with Nadal, in Doha in 2010. Has only won one main draw match at Wimbledon in his career.
