Second person dies in Egypt protests: security official

One person was killed on Sunday in the central Egyptian province of Assiut when gunmen on a motorbike opened fire on protesters, a security official said, bringing the death toll up to two.

Earlier, one person was killed and about 40 injured when clashes broke out between supporters and opponents of Egyptian President Mohamed Morsi in Beni Sueif province, south of Cairo.

Both incidents took place outside the offices of the Freedom and Justice Party, the political arm of Morsi's Muslim Brotherhood.
