The 2013 Tour of Turkey winner Mustafa Sayar has tested positive for the banned performance enhancing drug EPO, the International Cycling Union (UCI) announced on Monday.
The 24-year-old Turk has been provisionally suspended pending an investigation by the Turkish Cycling Federation, whose job it will be to implement any punishment.
Sayar actually tested positive during March's Tour of Algeria.
He is the second straight winner of the Tour of Turkey to be caught doping following 2012 laureate Bulgaria's Ivailo Gabrovski, who failed a test during that race.
