Brotherhood rejects new Egypt cabinet as 'illegitimate'

The Muslim Brotherhood on Tuesday rejected the legitimacy of Egypt's newly appointed cabinet soon after it was sworn in Tuesday, two weeks after the military ousted Islamist president Mohamed Morsi.

"We don't recognise its legitimacy or its authority," spokesman Gehad El-Haddad told AFP, speaking after the 35 ministers took their oath before army-appointed interim president Adly Mansour.
