Cricket: South Africa win T20 series against Sri Lanka

South Africa defeated Sri Lanka by 22 runs in the second Twenty20 international in Hambantota on Sunday to take an unassailable 2-0 lead in the three-match series.

The Proteas scored 145-6 after electing to bat and then restricted Sri Lanka to 123-7 on a wind-swept evening.

South Africa had won the first match by 12 runs in Colombo on Friday.

The final game will be played in Hambantota on Tuesday.
