Wrestling: Bradley banned eight months

American wrestler Dominique Bradley has accepted an eight-month ban after testing positive for a banned stimulant, the US Anti-Doping Agency said Friday.

Bradley, 24, tested positive for methylhexaneamine on April 19 at the US Open in Las Vegas, Nevada, one day before he defeated Olympian Tervel Dlagnev to win the 120kg US Open freestyle crown.

His punishment includes the loss of competitive results for eight months since the positive tests, including his US Open title.

In June, Bradley withdrew from the US World Championship team trials as he attempted to resolve his case, which he said resulted from his accidentally ingesting the stimulant in an over-the-counter supplement.
