An exodus from Northern Bulls to French clubs continued Monday when scrum-half Ruan Snyman joined Racing Metro.
An official from the Pretoria club said Snyman, 26, had been released as the Parisian side paid an undisclosed transfer fee.
Snyman started Currie Cup games this season because Springbok Jano Vermaak joined Toulouse and Francois Hougaard was injured.
Hooker Chiliboy Ralepelle is moving to Toulouse, star fly-half Morne Steyn joined Stade Francais and Racing Metro signed lock Juandre Kruger.
The transfers are linked to lucrative offers with French Top 14 outfits cashing in on the strength of the euro, which traded at 13 rand on Monday.
Bulls are the only South African team to win the Super Rugby southern hemisphere title, lifting the trophy three times.
They have also captured the Currie Cup 23 times, a record bettered only by Cape Town-based Western Province.
