A top-of-the-table clash between leaders AS Roma and second-placed Napoli has been brought forward by a day due to security fears in the capital, Serie A officials announced Monday.
The fixture was due to be played on October 19, the same day a mass demonstration against the construction of high speed rail links is set to be held in Rome.
Due to an anticipated significant police presence at the protest, the match has been set for 1845 GMT a day earlier on October 18.
Roma, who last won the league title in 2001, currently hold a two-point lead over Napoli and Juventus at the top of Serie A having won their opening seven games.
