Ukraine leader ready to let Tymoshenko go abroad

Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych said he would be ready to sign off on a bill that has been drawn up to allow his jailed opposition rival Yulia Tymoshenko to go abroad for treatment.

"Political forces represented in parliament have now prepared a bill which will allow the solving of this task," the Interfax news agency quoted Yanukovych as saying in his eastern stronghold of Donetsk. "Naturally, if parliament adopts this bill, I will sign it."
