Cricket: New Zealand ask Sri Lanka to bat in first one-dayer

New Zealand captain Kyle Mills won the toss and sent Sri Lanka in to bat in the first one-day international in Hambantota on Sunday.

The Black Caps, who ended a tour of Bangladesh last week, will play three one-day internationals and two Twenty20 games on their brief visit to Sri Lanka.

New Zealand: Kyle Mills (capt), Tom Latham, Anton Devcich, Rob Nicol, Grant Elliott, Colin Munro, Luke Ronchi, Corey Anderson, Nathan McCullum, Adam Milne, Mitchell McClenaghan.

Sri Lanka: Angelo Mathews (capt), Tillakaratne Dilshan, Dimuth Karunaratne, Kumar Sangakkara, Mahela Jayawardene, Dinesh Chandimal, Lahiru Thirimanne, Nuwan Kulasekara, Lasith Malinga, Rangana Herath, Sachithra Senanayake.
