Afghan minister tells Hagel security pact will be signed

US Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel on Saturday said that the Afghan defense minister had reassured him that the long-delayed security deal allowing US troops to stay in the country beyond 2014 would be signed.

Hagel told reporters after a meeting in Kabul that Defence Minister Bismillah Khan Mohammadi "assured me the BSA (bilateral security agreement) would be signed".
