US Treasury 3-year notes sell at 0.63 percent

The US Treasury auctioned $30 billion in three-year notes Tuesday at a high yield of 0.63 percent, barely changed from 0.64 percent a month ago.

Demand was higher: the bid-to-cover ratio was 3.55, compared with 3.46 in November.

Direct bidders took up 12.04 percent of the offer, and indirect bidders, which can include foreign central banks, took 38.40 percent.
