US Treasury 30-year bond fetches 3.90%

The US Treasury auctioned $13 billion in 30-year bonds Thursday at a high yield of 3.90 percent, compared to 3.81 percent in November's bond sale.

Only 17.28 percent was alloted at the high yield.

The bid-to-cover ratio was 2.35, up from 2.16.

Direct bidders took 12.54 percent of the sale, and indirect bidders 46.01 percent.
