Syria's opposition said that peace talks with the regime in Geneva made "a positive step forward" on Wednesday with discussions of a transition government after four days of deadlock.

Opposition delegation spokesman Louay Safi said that "for the first time now we are talking about the transitional governing body." There was no immediate confirmation of this from the regime.
