Brazil's Embraer wins $2.4bn deal for 50 regional jets

Brazilian aerospace giant Embraer on Monday announced that it had won an order worth $2.4 billion for 50 regional jets from the small airlines-owner Trans States Holdings.

"Embraer... has received an order for 50 E175-E2 jets from Trans States Holdings, parent company of Trans States Airlines, Compass Airlines and GoJet Airlines," said a statement issued during the Farnborough airshow near London.

"The order, which is valued at approximately $2.4 billion (1.76 billion euros) at list prices, is subject to certain conditions," it added.
