Glasgow Warriors announced on Wednesday they have signed South African prop Rossouw de Klerk from Super 15 side the Cheetahs.
The 24-year-old has agreed a two-year contract and will complete his move once he has been issued with a visa and passed a medical examination.
"To get a tighthead of Rossouw's quality into the club is fantastic and he'll add depth and competition to our front row," said head coach Gregor Townsend.
"I'm delighted to have signed for the Warriors and I'm looking forward to playing in the Guinness Pro12 and European Rugby Champions Cup next season," De Klerk said.
Tighthead prop De Klerk began his career with the Blue Bulls in 2009 and made 41 appearances for the club before joining the Cheetahs last year.
He is the third prop and fifth new signing to arrive at the Scotstoun Stadium during the close season, following Alex Allan, Euan Murray, James Downey and Murray McConnell.
