MesaméricaMay 21-22Mexico City, Mexico

A culinary event aimed at promoting Mexican cuisine and gastronomy, Mesamérica will bring a veritable constellation of superstar chefs this year, with a roster that includes Daniel Humm, Alex Atala, Gaston Acurio, Andoni Luis Aduriz, René Redzepi, Jordi Roca, and Massimo Bottura. Participants are predominantly students and professionals in the industry.

World Tea ExpoJune 7-9Las Vegas, NV, USA

With retail sales of premium tea projected to grow 50 percent by 2016, and coffee giant Starbucks making a major move in the premium tea last year, the 2013 edition of the World Tea Expo is expected to draw major interest. Highlights this year include the Best New Product Awards, the Tea Infusion Challenge and workshops on tea trends around the world.

VinexpoJune 16-20Bordeaux, France

More than 48,000 of the most powerful and influential representatives in the industry are expected to descend on the French edition of Vinexpo, billed as one of the largest and most important wine trade events in the world. The event alternates between Hong Kong and Bordeaux every year. For the first time, Mexico and South Africa will have pavilions at the show to exhibit their wines and spirits.

ElBulli: Ferran Adrià and The Art of FoodJuly 5-Sept. 29London, England

After a successful run in Barcelona last yer, chef Ferran Adrià brings his El Bulli exhibit to Somerset House in London this summer. The now-shuttered Catalan restaurant was named the best restaurant in the world five times. On display will be handwritten notes and sketches, tasting menus, cutlery, photos and press clippings of the restaurant as it rose to near mythic fame.
