Celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay has been enlisted to give actor Bradley Cooper a crash course in cooking and make sure he looks the part of a convincing chef in his upcoming movie.
Cooper, set to star in a film as a drug addict who aspires to open a Michelin-starred restaurant in Paris, will be coached by the notoriously hot-tempered TV chef who holds three stars for Restaurant Gordon Ramsay in London, reports The Sun in the UK.
According to the British tabloid, Ramsay’s foray into the movie business was just a matter of time given his minted connections in the celebrity world, including bestie David Beckham and his own celebrity status among TV audiences.
Likewise, Ramsay is signed onto the same talent agency as Cooper, LA’s Creative Artists Agency.
For the film, the chef-consultant will be tasked with giving the actor the deft knife and pan-tossing skills necessary to make him pass as a trained chef onscreen.
Meanwhile, Cooper’s “Chef” is already engaged in a heated battle for rights and viewership with another film of the same name being shopped at the Cannes Film Festival.
The Jon Favreau film has recruited some hefty star power of its own, with Scarlett Johansson, Robert Downey Jr. and Sofia Vergara the latest celebrities to sign on to the project, points out The Hollywood Reporter.
