'Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag' trailer states Captain Kenway's aims

Where the previous "Assassin's Creed IV" trailer was narrated by the fearsome pirate Blackbeard, it's main character Edward Kenway who explains himself directly in the action-packed second trailer for 2013 instalment "Black Flag."

Somewhat unusually for an entry to the conspiratorial "Assassin's Creed" storyline, Captain Kenway does not seem eager to align himself with either the Assassin or the Templar factions, pledging alliegance no longer to his king, social superiors, or one-time paymasters, but only to his pirate crew and their quest to "take back what is rightfully ours."

Of course, there's the expected slicing and dicing, pistol wielding and roof running escapades, but as well as all that old time liver-skewering there's a chance to see some of the fall 2013 game's seafaring antics and all-new Caribbean locations.

"Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag" has been scheduled for release on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Wii U and Windows PCs from October 29 in North America, with other regions worldwide following later the same week.

A PlayStation 4 has been confirmed but not yet dated, so as not to narrow down the new console's release date too closely before Sony makes its own announcement.
