Mexico City, Feb 27 (EFE).- Argentines Daniel Ludueña and Fernando Cavenaghi scored two goals apiece to lead Pachuca to a 4-2 home win over Atlante in the third round of the group phase of the Copa MX Clausura 2013 tournament
Ludueña scored directly off a corner kick for one goal and also converted a penalty try, while Cavenaghi scored twice from within the penalty area as Pachuca leapfrogged into first place in Group 6 ahead of Atlante, both of which have already qualified for the quarterfinals.
Mexicans Jorge Garcia and Jeronimo Amione scored Tuesday to keep the score respectable for Atlante, which will host Pachuca in the second match of the third round. That contest will be the last of the round-robin phase of the competition in Group 6.
In other Copa MX action Tuesday, Queretaro tied Morelia 1-1 and San Luis played to a 1-1 draw with Jaguares de Chiapas, while in matches involving second-division squads Necaxa defeated Estudiantes de Altamira 3-2 and Estudiantes Tecos edged Veracruz 2-1.
