Paris, Mar 4 (EFE).- Paris Fashion Week rolled out a variety of offerings, ranging from the designs of Chile's Octavio Pizarro to the work of John Galliano and the Asian adaptations of Kenzo.

Pizarro mixed his Chilean originals with elements of his adopted homeland, France, in his ready-to-wear collection, which hit the runway over the weekend.

The Chilean designer presented his fall-winter ready-to-wear collection at the Designers Apartment.

"There is the philosophy of the Latin American roots, especially in the materials and the textile designs, mixed with everything that has been my work, my way of looking at fashion, modernity and technology, in what is the French part," Pizarro told Efe.

The designer's successful venture into accessories prompted him to launch a ready-to-wear collection and this, his third collection, is "the biggest," incorporating "a mixture of textures, the polar opposites, the colds and the hots, leather with wool, the different blacks," Pizarro said.

Pizarro was selected by the Prêt-a-Porter Association to be in the Designers Apartment, which showcases new designers.
