Beijing, Mar 21 (EFE).- Eleven people died and four others are missing in the sinking of a ferry in the Minjiang River in the eastern Chinese province of Fujian, apparently due to bad weather.
The ferry sank in the Xiadao district on Wednesday, according to local authorities quoted by the official Xinhua news agency.
The search for the missing is continuing and the initial investigation into the accident confirmed that bad weather was the cause, authorities said.
This is the second such incident this week due to bad weather in eastern China.
On Tuesday, 11 people died and two are missing when a cargo vessel sank as it was sailing from the northern city of Tianjin to Taizhou in the eastern province of Zhejiang.
