International Sports Desk, Apr 28 (EFE).- Russia's Maria Sharapova defeated China's Li Na 6-4, 6-3 Sunday in the final of the Porsche Tennis Grand Prix in Stuttgart.
Sharapova, who also won the tournament last year, needed just 92 minutes to beat Li and take her second title of the season.
The Russian, the world No. 2, had been pushed to three sets in her three previous matches but had no problems with Li, the world No. 5.
Sharapova won the BNP Paribas Open in Indian Wells, California, in March.
The Russian is the first player to win consecutive titles in Stuttgart since American Lindsay Davenport pulled off the feat in 2004-2005.
Li beat Sharapova 6-2, 6-2 in the semifinals of the Australian Open earlier this year, but the Russian had the upper hand on Sunday, pushing her career record against the Chinese star to 9-5.
