Madrid, May 8 (EFE).- Twelve years after the release of animation mega-hit "Monsters, Inc.," Santiago Segura and Jose Mota are back as the Spanish voices of the two central characters in a prequel set to premiere in Spain on June 21.
"Monsters University," a Pixar Animation Studios production distributed by Walt Disney Pictures, features Mota dubbing the lines of Billy Crystal as Mike Wazowski, while Segura provides the Spanish-language voice of John Goodman as James P. "Sulley" Sullivan.
Directed by Dan Scanlon ("Cars"), the film takes places a decade before the events of "Monsters, Inc." and shows how Wazowski and Sulley meet at the university where both are majoring in "scaring."
The studious Mike and brawny Sulley fall into a dangerous rivalry that lands them both behind bars before bringing them together.
"Monsters, Inc." was nominated for four Oscars.
