Death toll in Mexico fuel blast climbs to 25

Mexico City, May 14 (EFE).- Another person died of burns received when a fuel truck exploded in the central Mexican city of Ecatepec, bringing the total number of fatalities to 25, authorities said Tuesday.

Adriana Hernandez Enriquez passed away at a hospital in this capital, the attorney general of Mexico state, Miguel Angel Contreras, said on Twitter.

Mexican federal authorities are still investigating the blast, which occurred around 5:00 a.m. last Tuesday.

A driver working for the Termogas company, Omar Diaz Olivares, lost control of the truck, which hit several other vehicles, igniting his load of fuel.

Diaz Olivares survived the accident, but is listed in serious condition at a hospital, where he remains under arrest.
